Strengthening Firefighter Rights and Community Care Since 1999

The Barnard Professional Firefighters Association, Local 4030 of the IAFF, was founded in 1999 by Firefighters of the Barnard Fire District who sought to work collectively with the Commissioners of the Barnard Fire District to ensure proper compensation, benefits, and working conditions for its members. Once organized the two parties were able to enter into a collective bargaining agreement and have since continued to maintain a good relationship with each other working towards the collective goal of providing the residents and visitors of the Barnard Fire District with the highest level of care and training offered.
